Alice in Wonderland-NYC Drawing

$230.00

I drew this 8.5’’ x 5.5’’ gray toned paper, graphite and white charcoal drawing in front of the Alice in Wonderland statue in NYC’s Central Park. Despite it being a popular statue to climb on to pose for photos, I was unfazed with my view’s frequent obscurity. A hot summer day, an ice tea, and thinking on Alice’s author Lewis Carroll. From his famous ‘“Alice in Wonderland” book, I wrote on my drawing:

“I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."

"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”
