A graphite and white charcoal drawing on 9’’ x 12’’ tan paper. It is a study of French Academic painter William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s “La Naissance de Vénus”. I am inspired by the way this 19th century artist paints figures ethereally. I drew her to enjoy the flow of how she is standing; which is called a contrapposto pose.
