Drawing of Rodin's Madame X

$230.00

5.75 x 8.5 inch tan paper, white charcoal and graphite drawing. While strolling through the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I spotted a marble bust by Auguste Rodin. It was glowing! I had to draw her. In 1907 he created it. His model was Countess Anna-Elizabeth de Noailles. She rejected the artwork, dissatisfied with her prominent nose as well the obscured details of the portrait. So Rodin sold it to the Met, where now I can enjoy it. I hope you enjoy my drawing!
