Saint Bartholomew Statue Drawing
As I was about to leave the Metropolitan Museum of Art one evening, I walked past this marble statue of Saint Bartholomew. The graphic shadow-shapes were too enticing! I had to walk back and draw this (8.5’’ x 5.5’’ tan toned paper, graphite and white charcoal drawing) portrait. The light, absorbing into the marble gave the saint a beautiful glow. I hope you like this piece!
